Villa della Genga has been producing extra virgin olive oil since 1620 and in recent years we’ve renewed our approach by crafting high-quality monovarietal oils from native Umbrian cultivars like Moraiolo, Frantoio, and Leccino. During a guided tasting, you’ll explore the unique flavor profiles of each variety, learn about our extraction methods, and discovering the philosophy that drives us. We also offer tours of the estate, including visits to our olive oil museum, centuries-old groves, and modern mill.

In partnership with a local stable, we organize horseback rides through the Umbrian hills, following scenic trails surrounded by nature and the peaceful rhythms of the countryside. We offer private lessons for beginners, guided outings for experienced riders, and two-day excursions for small groups, along routes that wind through woodlands, olive groves, and historic villages.

Umbria, especially the area around Poreta, is rich in truffles. From late May to mid-July, during the cooler hours of the day, we offer one-hour truffle-hunting excursions led by Franco, our expert truffle hunter, and his trained dogs.The experience takes place in the estate’s truffle woods and offers a rare opportunity to discover the secrets of this prized delicacy, deeply rooted in the land and traditions of the region.

From May to November, our chefs open the doors of the kitchen for hands-on classes dedicated to traditional Umbrian cuisine. Divided into three levels, the courses are designed to suit everyone, from beginners to passionate home cooks. At the heart of the experience are local ingredients, our estate’s extra virgin olive oil, and typical umbrian country recipes.

Together with a local partner, we rent out comfortable and modern e-bikes, ideal for exploring the beautiful surroundings of Poreta. Whether you’re looking to follow scenic routes through rolling hills, olive groves, and medieval villages or prefer a guided tour, we have you covered. Suitable for all skill levels, it’s a fun way to experience the authentic landscapes of Umbria, enjoying the sense of freedom that only a bicycle can offer.

We organize guided fly fishing trips in Valnerina, with the season opening on June 1st. This all-inclusive experience provides fly fishing equipment rental and a catered lunch, offering a full day of outdoor adventure.
